Gpix (Offline)

The Gpix Content Management System (CMS) was my first enterprise class software project. I designed and developed 100% of the base system, that when finished became the company’s main solution delivery platform. One of the main benefits of the system is to greatly facilitate website maintenance, providing web 2.0 rich tools for final users to maintain and publish content to the portals themselves. The system differentiates itself from other Content Management Systems by the quality and compliance of the published website’s code. It was built using PHP as the main programming language allied with ActionScript and Javascript for rich content delivery. Internal return of investment metrics showed that the delivery costs for Graffikpix (today split as Hollo and Sense8) projects were reduced by 30 to 40 percent when Gpix was used.

Futura Fotos

Futura Fotos is company that develops photo printing on demand. On its website it is possible to request simple digital picture prints but you can also make cups, calendars, mouse pads and other products with your picture. The site has an ActionScript upload capability to show the upload progress to the user and several controls to deliver a rich user interface. It also has a complex Ajax system to help the users see their pictures applied on the products templates with full image and text personalization. An e-Commerce system registers the requests and creates a PDF with the users’ products to be printed on the proper printers inside the company.

Labtest

Labtest is a Chemical Analysis company and its website is the main communication channel with their clients. The website shows information about the company history, services and values. It is also possible to choose between three languages to see information about the full range of products and download technical information about them.

Haus Munchen

Haus Munchen is a specialized restaurant that serves German food and has the largest international beer menu in Belo Horizonte. With keen clients, the site keeps the users informed about upcoming events that the restaurant sponsorships and it has a beer rating system, where anyone can see how beer lovers in Brazil classify beers from all around the world.

Fidens Website

Fidens is one of the biggest mining companies in Brazil. Its site has information about all the company works, social projects and news about the company.

Fidens Intranet

The Fidens Intranet was originally created to be an interface between lay employees and SAP administrators. After some weeks of use, Fidens managers requested more functionalities and the Intranet turned out to be the main company integration media. Employees of the company all over Brazil use it every day to exchange relevant information, make equipment requests, send and receive reports and download institutional sheets. The Intranet uses complex ASP/MySQL and Ajax development to accomplish its tasks.

Pipoca e DVD (Offline)

Pipoca e DVD was a movie rental company that worked 100% based on its website requests. After a year with failed solutions from other agencies, my colleagues from Graffikpix and me were able to deliver a robust and trustable solution. The system was responsible for all client registration, movie selection, client payments and to generate reports for the delivery. The users could choose the best time and day to get the movies collected or delivered at the best suitable place for them. The system used PHP/MySQL and Ajax technologies to manage website’s 5.000 movie database. After 3 month online the company registered a 350% growth.
